EnerGaia opens a new office in Dhaka, Bangladesh

At the beginning of the month Saumil visited the new EnerGaia office in Bangladesh and joined our local team to meet with suppliers such as RFL Plastic, implementation partners such as Winrock International and Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), and customers such as EPS.

It was a very productive set of meetings, with an MOU being signed with the USAID Agricultural Extension Support Activity (AESA) for the rural implementation of spirulina farming with at least 100 women farmers in Faridpur, Bangladesh.

Then, at the end of the month the EnerGaia team completed the packing a 40 foot shipping container full with 615 of our spirulina photobioreactors to be shipped to Bangladesh for installation later this year at the AESA and BAU rural farming projects, as well as for our first commercial customer (EPS).

Using this equipment, the EnerGaia Bangladesh team will not only begin installing bioreactors, but will also finalize local supply chains so that we can source all of the components locally in the future.
