200 brand new bioreactors installed in Singapore

In Singapore, the new 200 bioreactor spirulina farm that EnerGaia installed with our partner, Ruyi Ventures, has begun operation!  As of September there were 80 tanks operating.  These would be used to scale-up production from the remaining tanks.  In an exciting new development, EnerGaia sent its Operations Manager, Muhammet Doertkardes, to help inoculate the bioreactors with fresh spirulina paste taken from one of EnerGaia’s farms in Bangkok.  This proved to be a successful way to rapidly start-up spirulina production in…

New potential spirulina farm at the Anantara Riverside Hotel in Bangkok

As part of our growing relationship with the Minor Group in Thailand, Bonnie from the EnerGaia team performed a site assessment of a new potential spirulina farm to be located on a rooftop at the Anantara Riverside Hotel in Bangkok. Catalyzing women social entrepreneurs in Madurai, India

In February 2017, EnerGaia team members visited Madurai, India to begin the set up of the bag and cage system and test the feasibility of our rural spirulina farming model. We were happy to find that many materials needed for our system can be locally sourced at reasonable prices. Our hope is to expand the system at Antenna Trust to 1000 tanks by the end of 2017.
