Saumil Shah ~ Managing Director & Founder

Saumil is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA USA.  He holds both a Bachelors and Masters in Aerospace Engineering. After completing his schooling, he worked for 3 years as an aircraft engine design engineer for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines before moving to General Electric.  Over a period of more than 14 years at GE, Saumil held various positions including roles as a field engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, commercial director (technical sales), lead contract negotiator, North America commercial operations leader, market development director focusing on renewables in Thailand, and Asia Pacific product line GM for thermal services.  His corporate experience includes design engineer, industrial engineering, drafting commercial contracts, sales, marketing, business development, and leading teams ranging from 3 – 65 persons.

Ezra Noon-Song ~ Technology Director

Ezra Noon-Song is a graduate of the University of Florida, in Gainesville, FL USA. He holds a Bachelors in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Cell Science. His published research specializes in characterizing the biochemical and biophysical properties of cells, and he has created multiple cellular based assays. He is proficient in creating custom cell lines and optimizing them for product development. After completing his education he worked in the US as a postdoctoral researcher developing immunological assays for screening candidate antiviral vaccines. Prior to joining EnerGaia he also worked for 3 years as an instructor of cell biology and chemistry, teaching hundreds of students as well as other scientists. Besides his knowledge of analytical chemistry and molecular biology techniques, he brings a passion for working collectively to develop and test creative solutions to improve the world.

Siriporn Nuchyai ~ Production and Sourcing Director

Siriporn, who also goes by Amy, holds a Masters degree in Business Management from the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University. She has worked in industry for more than 23 years of with experience in operations management, warehousing, shipping and supplier contracting. Since joining EnerGaia in 2015 she has been instrumental in helping the company export its food products and spirulina production technology to other countries. She also supports Thailand business development activities.

Minh Buu ~ Business Development Manager

Minh is a graduate from IPAG Paris business school. He holds a Bachelors degree in management and international marketing and a Masters degree in business development and commercial strategies. During his studies, he chose to focus his thesis and conduct several projects on the topic of corporate social responsibility. While in school, Minh had the opportunity to work in several IT start-ups which gave him an overview of the creation and the beginning stages of innovative companies. After completing his final internship abroad working at EnerGaia, Minh decided to stay on working in international business development and marketing. Thus far he has successfully helped EnerGaia with new clients in France, Singapore and Vietnam.


Bonnie Hobbs

Bonnie B. Hobbs, AIA helps EnerGaia to develop best practices for farming spirulina on rooftops and in rural communities. She brings her skills as a problem solver and designer, as well as experience in installations and scale-ups of systems in a variety of contexts. She helps with the expansion of spirulina farms to other Indian Ocean countries for EnerGaia’s project with the Blue Economy Challenge. Before moving to Bangkok, Bonnie, a licensed architect and interior designer, was practicing in Hingham, Massachusetts where she focused on the preservation of antique homes and sustainable building methods. She was also an adjunct instructor and thesis adviser of interior architecture at the Boston Architectural College. Bonnie holds a Masters Degree in Design Studies with a concentration in Housing and Urbanization from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the College of Environmental Design at the University of California at Berkeley.

Patsakorn Thaveeuchukorn

After completing his undergraduate studies at Chulalongkorn University, and receiving a Bachelors in Microbiology, Patsakorn worked in Thailand’s food export industry, as a stock broker on the Thai stock market and in technology sales before choosing to further his education.  Enrolling in Thammasat University’s prestigious International MBA program Patsakorn earned his Masters with a focus on Global Entrepreneurship. Focusing much of his coursework on sustainability and social entrepreneurship, Patsakorn crossed paths with EnerGaia and founder Saumil Shah on multiple occasions before coming to work for EnerGaia in 2010.  In 2015 Patsakorn left EnerGaia to join another startup enterprise, but he remains as a valued friend and advisor to the team.

Aaron Grieser

Mr. Aaron Grieser is a Bangkok-based international transactional attorney and founder of Inspirati Ventures Pte., Ltd., a company focused on international trade and distribution of premium consumer products.  In his role as an attorney with Hunton & Williams (Thailand) Limited, Aaron focused his practice on the development and financing of major renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia.  In addition to his entrepreneurial background, Aaron brings 13 years of activity in the environmental field with rich exposure to international business transactions, public interest environmental law and policy, and corporate sustainability services in both the citizen and private sectors.

Before attending university, and over a period of four years, Aaron launched, grew and sold a thriving landscape design and construction firm in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio USA.  Aaron graduated Tufts University with honors. After graduating, he enjoyed a year in Berlin studying German renewable energy policy as a Fulbright Fellow. Prior to attending law school, Aaron assisted a consortium of Thai public interest groups advising the Thai government on establishing a publicly accessible national database on pollution emissions.  He then matriculated at the University of Oregon School of Law where he received several fellowships and honors over the course of his legal studies.

During law school, Aaron supported the well-known Indian environmental attorney M.C. Mehta in the Indian Supreme Court and also co-authored the book “In the Public Interest” with him, which is a narrative of Mr. Mehta’s most famous legal victories.
